Faux Ukiyo-e Tem by Xenothere Faux Ukiyo-e Tem by Xenothere
Don't make her angry...or she'll cut you.

It's my Tem sporting her rage face (red markings) before ending some deserving creatures life.

I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to attempt a picture with an Ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock print) feel to it.
In hindsight, I think I would have chosen a different background color. Will provide a photo of it once I get a camera.

The kanji in the bottom left corner is my name.

Mixed Media:
-Col-Erase Colored pencil
-Watercolor pencil
-Brush pen
-India Ink
-Gold paint (I told you there would be more gold!)
-Piece of decorated cardstock for the sleeve
-All done on Bristol board.

Tem, art (c) me

What kind of skull is that? Because I was looking up bear skulls recently and they look very similar to that...

Its a Fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox). They're the larges predator in Madagascar and are members of the mongoose family (the animal on my icon).

With some kabuki mask elements.

Interesting! Well I guess most large mammalian land predator skulls are pretty similar...
